We offer workshops, courses, masterclasses and one-to-one sessions on Physical Theatre, Devising, Character, The Art of Solo Shows and Commedia dell'Arte worldwide, as well as online courses for schools, universities, companies and individuals. All our workshops are led by Dr Chiara D'Anna, one of the leading practitioners in Commedia dell'Arte in the UK.
Here a few words about her background and experience:
After her studies in Italy at Teatranza Drama School, Chiara developed her practice in London and Poland. She trained at the Grotowski Institute in Wrocław with Zygmut Molik, co-founder of the Grotowski's Laboratory Theatre and Andrei Droznin, Master Teacher of Movement at the Moscow Art Theater School and the Vakhtangov School in Moscow and Head of Movement for the A.R.T. Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University.
After her MA in Physical Theatre at Royal Holloway University, Chiara trained at the Staniewski Centre for Theatre Practices "Gardzienice". This led to her collaboration with Ali Hodge and the creation of the international performance ensemble The Quick and the Dead.
Chiara's research focusses on the legacy of Commedia dell'Arte in Postdramatic Theatre (PhD). She teaches at RADA, East 15 Acting School, London Metropolitan University, Goldsmiths University in London and the Accademia dell'Arte in Arezzo, Italy.
