A Floating Caravan Under the Moon is a site-responsive devised performance that deals with issues of cultural and personal identity with irony, self-irony and humour. The piece stemmed from a topic that intrigued Chiara D’Anna for years: What is HOME? When do we really feel at home? And why?

Background

A collaboration between Panta Rei Theatre and the Theatre & Performance Practice department at London Metropolitan University, the team included a mix of professional actors, designers and students from 12 different countries. It combined 10 stories in 7 languages.

It has been developed in two phases. The first version of the show was performed by a cast of six actors in London in 2015; the final version was performed as a promenade site-specific performance at the Crisis Art Festival in Arezzo in June 2016.

A Floating Caravan Under the Moon is dedicated to all the people around the world who are still looking for a place that they can call home…
